Nascar The IMAX EXPERIENCE

This movie starts with a fictional car chase between a rum runner or bootlegger and Cops.Which shows you the very roots of nascar. Nascar started with bootleggers with souped up cars wanting to race other bootleggers. Nascar means North America Stock Car Auto Racing. which was formed in a Hotel room with 12 people in Daytona beach the first race was the Daytona 500 which was run half on beach and half on the highway A1A which is the highway that runs the beach. Lee Petty won the first one. After that the Daytona National Speedway was built. This movie takes you through everything with Nascar. The Cars are built in there team shops by very techinal specs that Nascar makes them go by everything is messured to the milimeter like the high length and with of the car. The movie goes through the drivers what they are thinking while in the car and what there families are thinking while they are driving. What the pitt crews go through training and during a race day where they could very easily win or lose a race. Very good format in this movie i wish i could of seen it in a real IMAX Theater because the graphics where good and the picture was good on my computer would of loved to see it on the big screen of an IMAX theater. It is just a very detailed feature on how nascar isn't just a bunch rednecks getting in cars and how much money it takes to really run a team. There is a lot of 1st person shots with the drivers in the cars with cameras on there helmets or right next to them to get a good chance of seeing what they see at those huge speeds..
