Bowling for Columbine

Michael Moore investigates gun control and how easy it is to get a gun in America and Canada but yet Canada has under 100 murders a year by gun but America has over 11 thousand murders or gun related deaths a year. How American culture is so much afraid of gun related deaths. He uses Columbine as just an example of how easy it can be to get guns and bullets. He goes to his home town and sees how a 6 year old boy shoots a 6 year old girl in an elementary school in Flint Michigan. He compares how Canada has 7 million guns and only 10 million family's and how much safer it is in Canada then in United States with a higher percentage of guns in Canada then in America. Moore meets with 2 kids who were shot and survived the Columbine tragedy and go to K-marts corp headquarters and actually get K-mart to stop selling all hand gun ammunition. The final of many interviews in this movie is with the president of the NRA the legendary Charlton Heston and he asks him a couple questions then gets into why Heston goes to these towns after tragedy's like Columbine and Flint to support gun freedom after what had just happened. Heston walks out of the interview and Moore leaves a picture of the young girl who died in Flint and just leaves a symbol of something really needs to be done with the gun laws. The Editing in the film is very good blends the movie well and it is just a true Documentary of something that needs to be fixed.
