Frost Nixon

Movie starts with snips of the Watergate hearings which was Nixon employees breaking into the democratic head quarters and stealing tapes from the democratic office at the Watergate office then his Resigning of the presidency of the United States of America. Right after Ford took office he gave Nixon a pardon from Watergate. Nixon was gonna do an interview with CBS and Mike Wallace, but David Frost outbid CBS for the interview. Frost was working in Australia and flew into LA to do interview. Frost is doing it to try to get into America to get another show not really interested in the politics. Frost had an American show that did not work before this. All the major networks passed over the interview to start with. Frost gets the funding for the Interview from Private funding. David Frost and his team of did research for 2 plus months to prepare for the interview. Jack Brennan Nixon's chief of staff calls Frost to try to make everything negative in the interview under the Watergate story but Frost denies to do it. The interview was done at a place called smith house which was owned by a republican businessman. Nixon before the interview takes verbal stabs at Frost. Frost starts off by asking Nixon about why he didn't burn the Watergate tapes out of the contract. Nixon goes off on a good answer and knocks Frost back on his heels. Nixon giving long answers to take up time. Between interviews David Frost has to go to advertisers to get more funding to pay for the interviews. 2nd day Frost really buckles down on Nixon about Vietnam and Cambodia. 3rd day was about foreign policy. And Nixon is still running over Frost. Nixon calls Frost and tells him the next interview is gonna be great and he is gonna stomp Frost again. Frost goes right to work and starts doing more work. The last interview is all about Watergate. Frost goes after Nixon about obstruction of justice theory about Watergate. Nixon gets blown back a little. Bringing up the transcripts of Watergate and a cover up that has a lot evidence to it, Nixon backtracks the whole time. Gets him to admit to Watergate. The key quote in the interview is Nixon said he thinks the president does something it isn't illegal. And right before Nixon says he was apart of the cover up his Chief of Staff walks in and interrupts the interview. Nixon says he made mistakes Horrendous ones. Then he admits he was involved in a cover up. Nixon says he let down the American people, the country, and the system of government. And finally says his political life is over. Frost did something 2 plus years of government investgation failed to do get Nixon to crack. The interview was highest rated news interview in history. David Frost got the cover of TIME for it. Frost went to Nixon's house to say good bye. The man who played David Frost did a great job but i think they miscast Nixon Frank Langella didnt look or sound like Nixon. Is very accurate in the tv interview but there was over 28 hrs of interviews they cut down to 90 minutes.

Tropic Thunder

The Movie Has a really good clear plot line of a movie that is being shot in the jungle of vietnam where a false account of what happened to a person in vietnam is being filmed. The Director wants to a real Account from the Actors and takes them out to middle of jungle and has them act like it is a real battle. The Director steps on a old Land Mine and blows to pieces. The actors think it is a motivational techinque. When they firgue it out the Special effects man on the film and the man who wrote the book the movie is based on has been captured. Then the rest of the cast sees the director is really dead Stillers Character still thinks it is a movie. He gets captured by Herion Runners. Has to act out one of his other movies and actually gets used to it. The others are desperate to get everyone back Stiller and the other 2. The Script was well written and the movie is very funny. Robert Downey Jr plays a great part where he is playing a black man and does a great job with it really belivable. At the end of the movie everyone is safe from the group and Stiller wins a best Actor Award.

Zodiac

The True story of the serial killer in California who was never actually caught. The Story is told from the Police and a Crime Reporter and a Political Cartoonist who works for San Francisco. Had the whole state of California. Robert Downey Jr Who plays Paul Avery is very good in his role at trying to get the Zodiac come out and show himself of course he never does but Jake Gyllenhall. who plays Robert Greysmith the political cartoonist for the san Francisco. Is very good and really gets into the case. The two cops played a really good role in san Francisco trying to get this case solved. Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Edwards play the SFPD inspectors and have a great chemistry on screen. Anthony Edwards Character gets burnt out and just quits on his partner. The Police give up there case when he hasn't killed for 4 years but Robert does it on his own. the techniques of the Police back then where so outdated compared to what we have know. They go after 2500 suspects plus Mark Ruffalo who is inspector Dave Toschi is pinned for one of the letters and kicked off the Case. The Zodiac sends a cypher to Robert. He is so obessed with the Zodiac his wife fears for his and her kids. Zodiac killed 8 wounded 2. the only really solid leads they had on of the men Arthur Leigh Allen Died before they could bring him up on charges in 1991. So the Zodiac Case is still open. Is a very good accurate movie of what actually happened.

Metropolis

The Story is about the rich who lives above ground and the working class who have to work and live under the city of Metropolis the Leader of cities son is guided by a woman who wants him to see what it like underground he goes under ground and sees how bad it is for the workers and vows to help them. The way they center the camera of the faces of the people is really good to show the emotion of the peoples faces to really get the story across. And the undermining of the Father to keep the people underground to not listen to his son. The Struggle between rich and poor the son vs the father is a very good story line the Machine woman made to just decive and keep the workers going. the special effects are well in front of there time. The man who made Machine man has tricked the leader frederson to revolting with violance. the Story ends with Freder his father and Grote the leader of workers coming to a middle ground..

No Country For Old Men

Was a really well written movie in my opinion i really liked the whole Cat mouse game of the Killer and the man who stole the drug money or the hunter becomes the hunted. You really believe the killer is psychopathic and has no remorse at all. Very realistic in the violence Can see how it won best picture because it is a movie that will turn into a classic. The Dialogue is well written and the border control looked realistic just a movie where you would think u would see on a crime show or something. I would watch this movie over again in a heart beat just to see if i missed something. At the End of movie the man who stole the drug money got killed. The Psychopath gets in car accident and walks away. The Sheriff Retires.
