We Are Marshall

The Marshall football team was in a tragic plane crash and lost there whole football team and athletic director there was parts of the city of Huntington West Virgina where the school is that didn't want another football team but the students and supports rallied to get the board to vote for one the President of the school was contacted by Jack Lengyel from Wooster College in Ohio. Once Lengyel is hired he has to go about recruiting players from other sports programs on campus and goes to Red Dawson the only surviving coach who took a recruiting trip the night of the plane crash to come back and Dawson gives him 1 year to help him. The Marshall team is built in a very short time and they go to West Virgina there main rival to learn an offense that suits them and a very touching moment that WVU has a memorial cross and the Marshall M on the back of there helmets. The team struggles and grows together loses there first game but they win there first home game and win only 1 more game that season but it shows the struggle and the strength of the human spirit. Nate Ruffin who was injuried the season before is the team Captain but has a chronic problem with his shoulder and cant play allot and just keeps the team togther the whole time..There is allot of outdoor shots and doesn't look like it was shot in a hollywood set it very nice scenery shots of the hills and moutains of west virgina also..
